Along with Liriano, the Twins are bringing to camp a full and good quality starting staff all under 27. Your analysis is exceptional. As a former (softball) pitcher, I equally believe that the difference in perhaps a short major league career and a modest major league career will be moving the ball down in the strike zone, using the edges and corners with his strong control, and relying on the ground ball game. This will neutralize long balls, a nemisis right now, and just as important will increase the double play potential when runners do get on base.
